New finds for CABIN ANTIQUES in Grand Marais Mn
- james wReally interesting stuff here
- Susan AAt least half of our cabin decor-probably more- was acquired over the last 4-5 years from Cabin Antiques. The proprietors, Gayle and Leo, are very knowledgeable about all their items, from original use to care and restoration. They have a great "eye" and we've found many one of a kind, high quality objects there, specific to the North Shore (hunting/trapping, fishing, shooting, skiing, logging, home arts and crafts, garden, advertising, etc) and if you're looking for something special they'll keep watching for it or show you something new if you've been interested in something similar in the past.. Leo puts together irresistible collections of fishing lures & accessories, Scouting memorabilia, tools, lighters, knives. They have jewelry, Indian artifacts, blankets, baskets, china and glassware...and so on! Gayle sells some used clothing there as well and earlier this summer I got a light wool hooded coat, made in England, for $8. Love that place and highly recommend it.
- Jackie LVisiting Cabin Antiques is a regular part of our visit to Grand Marias. With something for every budget, it's clean and fun displays plus the sweet owners, make it a must see! This year I purchased 2 vintage dresses and an antique lucite bag for my photography business. Today's photo shoot was amazing! See it, the dresses and that fabulous bag on Facebook at Lee Lee Photography Eau Claire.
